Scale is often difficult to comprehend. But I think this image is a great way of showing the relative sizes of the major players in the Solar System (what's Pluto doing there! Tsk). There are more of these amazing images here
Tis said that if Betelguese, in the constellation of Orion, was positioned in place of our sun, the huge star would engulf Mercury, Venus and Earth. It's almost impossible to comprehend the size.
That really drives home how small earth is in comparison to the sun. Nice find fella.
