The Rules

Now I don't want to come over all Alf Garnett but every family has to have rules. This might involve the attitude of the toilet seat or who is responsible for taking the trash out. Likewise cooking duties may be up for debate and loading (or unloading) the dish washer tends to a matter of contention. But there are some rules that are set in stone and one of those is the ownership of the remote controls. If ladies are accidentally given the remote controls that rightfully belong to blokes then they could inadvertently select "Desperate Housewives" or "Ugly Betty" when "Top Gear" and "Police, Stop, Crash, Argh!" would be more appropriate. It might sound patronising and misogynistic but it is for their own good. So imagine my horror to see my beloved 9 week old daughter with her hands on the crown jewels! Doesn't she know the rules!

(Note to Idiots: Please don't think I'm being serious! It's just a cute picture and I'm being cheeky)

LOL!

Just wait until she works out how to use them! Oh, that and discovering the wonders of the mobile phone!

Enjoy!

Well, I don't know if it is all about women and controls - kids are the worst...."Now where did I leave the remote" I muse as I await the start of the Apprentice. The TV is currently showing CBBC....fifteen minutes of frustration and shouting at the kids finds the remote neatly parked down the side of the sofa cushion! At least the ladies tend to leave them in the same place!!! P.S. I agree....it is a very cute picture!

P.S I was sitting in IBM Brissle today with my mate Paul Jenkins (en-route to the pub!) He has Notes 8 on Red Hat....it looks AWESOME!! Especially so when he flipped the desktop round to show me open office on a second window. He even moved Notes round the corner so half of Notes was on one desktop and the other half on another - very cool eye-candy! I guess that is what Vista is trying to achieve.....Except it does it in a totally cr*p way!

Aaagh! Not the Humax remote. That one's very closely guarded in our house.

Just wait until she can hit 7 + 1 rapidly enough on the Humax remote. Can't actully leave the room at our place without whatever you're watching being flipped to Big Cook, Little Cook or Bobinogs.

May have to invest in a second 9200t just for the kids. It's that, or years of brightly-coloured strangeness at all hours of the day.

I see you haven't been sold on the Choddo vision of a perfect world with an expensive Pronto that replaces all those remotes. Frightening thought that whoever grabs the one remote holds the power over everything (which is why Adams Junior has her own Sky Plus box).

Out of 10, how cute is that picture? 50.
